What you will bring...

• Experience with audio production (ideally podcasts/radio background)
• You'll need to have proficiency in using audio editing software. 
• You enjoy working on large audio projects and have a highly organized work style that can understand the audio needs of the show and deliver on those.
• Strong time management skills and work well to focused briefs and production deadlines.
• You'll understand how to promote digital audio and podcasts effectively and the ability to build additional social media and short form audio and video content to help drive audience to the podcast.
• Have passion in the craft of storytelling, and the ability to synthesize and condense stories into knock out audio packages.
• Live on-air experience behind the mic is desirable but not essential.
• Creativity is at the heart of the show's success. You'll not be shy in offering up your ideas and opinions to help the show grow across all platforms.
• A positive and optimistic outlook to the morning show environment. We have a "for the show" mentality and expect all team members to live into that mantra, regardless of their role.
• Oh, and finally you'll need to be a morning person (or be ok with caffeine)... as you'll be working morning show hours!

Accountabilities
Producing Talk Radio Programming:

• Coordinate chasing, scheduling, interviewing guests related both in-studio and remote.
• Conduct research for programs; assist in determining required coverage
• Plan, organize and coordinate production of radio programs
• Determine treatment, scope and scheduling of production, including recording and assembling content
• Interact with audience via social media, blogs and website updates as well as all post-show follow up, including On Demand.
• Select and introduce material for broadcast; conduct updates for channel(s)
• Cultivate and maintain regular contact with newsworthy individuals; stay current via relevant industry sources
• Work professionally with hosts, technical producers, guests and co-workers in all other aspects of the broadcast day.
• Participate in meetings; prepare status updates as required
• Contribute to writing and editing texts and scripts for broadcast; assist with special features and conduct necessary research as required
• Upon request of Director, Talk Programming, represent SiriusXM in various media outlets across North America via appearances on television; on websites; in magazines; and in social media
• As assigned, attend news conferences and events on behalf of SiriusXM
• Perform other duties as assigned, including writing and producing feature material and daily updates; website updates; social media participation; and field reporting
